SIP Trunking

Overview

SIP trunks are telephone line trunks delivered over IP using the SIP protocol. Using this standard protocol, telecom service (VoIP) providers connect one or more channels to the customer’s PBX. Phone numbers and DIDs are linked to the SIP trunk. In many cases numbers can be ported to the SIP trunk.

With a Voicetec SIP Trunk you can inexpensively connect to our telephony platform SIP enabled phone system, gateways from Patton, Mediatrix, Fritzbox usw. etc. Voicetec is based on RFC Standard, certified for use with various telephone companies.

A link to an IAX-Trunk is also possible. InterAsterisk eXchange (abbr. IAX) is a protocol that is used by the Open-source system Asterisk. It serves both the connection between individual Asterisk servers as well as for communication devices, through which Voice-over-IP calls are possible.

Correct number of channels
